NHRA Funny Car World Champion J.R. Todd was a guest of the Dreyer & Reinbold team this morning and got to sample the cockpit of Sage Karam’s WIX Filters Indy Car. Todd, who is originally from Lawrenceburg, Indiana and has the first name Mario (as in Mario Todd, Junior), is a huge sprint car and midget fan, but draws the line at taking any laps at IMS. He did, however, take a ride in the 2-seat Indy Car earlier today with another Mario — the 1969 Indy winner, Mr. Andretti! Todd and the rest of his NHRA compatriots will be in action this weekend in Richmond, Virginia. (Photos of Todd with Sage Karam [right] and JR Hildebrand [left].)
